OH HEY TOMMY!
Ok , so its taken me a few days to even be able to write this and im only even doing it now to get whats been on my mind out into the open.On november 10th after the first day of our tour one of my best friends walked out of the roxy after saying bye to me and was struck by a car on sunset and her life was taken..now as much as i realize this situation was not my fault it hurts so much knowing that she was out that night to support me and the last thing she twitterd was that she was coming to support us. A LOT of you have been calling me and texting me and i haven’t answered or replied because i simply could not face the truth that one of my closest friends is no longer gracing us with her overwhelming joy and laughter. I met lauren 3 years or so ago in my apartment for a quick second but didn’t really become close with her till about a year ago. We had a party at my house and she (in true lauren fashion) was running her mouth saying things that people probably found rude haha , she got into it with one of my best friends and for some reason i sided with her (completely enraging my friend) it was there and then that me and lauren became close friends , the things me and this girl have done together simply cant be matched by anyone i know , the stories i have about her from waking up first day of warped tour at 10 am for breakfast and having her stumble in popov in hand loving every second of the day. To watching her stick up for all of her dudes so many times when someone would say anything towards us , ive watched this girl throw her beanie 20 feet in the air and go absolutely bonkers on girls who have said anything even remotely disrespectful towards me or any of our friends. she was he girl that was ALWAYS on the bus but was never “ON THE BUS” she was the girl we kept around to to insure that sketchy girls never made it on. She was always flying out here or there to visit , and every time she arrived there was 10 new stories to tell.. I cant honestly say i am not extremely close with a large amount of people but i can say she is part of the select few i consider part of my family. She has been there for me more times and for more reasons than i would care to share with the rest of the world. Lauren always let me know when someone was being fake or bad mouthing because she simply was NOT into that , she was upfront and in your face about liking or disliking you , she sugar coated NOTHING and people absolutely loved her for that. being on tour for the most part i don’t get to hold onto friendships and relationships as much as i would like to like to but this is one person who FOUGHT to keep in contact , who got on planes to visit us , who no matter how bad the situation she made sure everyone could at least smile about SOMETHING…if she could talk to any of us right now she would tell us to stop being little girls and get our asses to the noho house for a night of hangouts. I am driving through Texas right now looking at the desert bored and this is where i would usually text her to get some sort of stupid joke or bit of information in. I want the world to know that Lauren Freeman was one of the most legit people i have ever had the pleasure of knowing. She didn’t NEED to work but she came to ME to find an internship for her , she was constantly trying to better her self and move forward with her talents and dreams where so many others would just depend on mom and dad. I DO NOT care what problems you have or have had with her chances are your mad that she called you out on something you were doing wrong. The world has lost one of its most honest people. I feel sorry for anyone who never met Lauren. I end this by speaking for my band and all the bands within our circle , we all knew you we all loved you and you were as much a part of this as any of us are , you were never the girl we couldn’t stand , you were never used you were always respected and loved , you were the girl calling jails or hospitals or girls or parents if any of us were missing , you were the girl who offered us floors to sleep on and monster to drink. You got it , you gave it and you deserved every single ounce of respect i know you got from everyone in the community most of our friends are a part of.
I love you and will miss you more than anyone who reads this could ever understand.
